‌Chairman's Message

To all members of the GreenFood team, and to every partner who reads this page:

Welcome. Whether you have joined us as an employee, a supplier, or a customer, I regard your decision to work with GreenFood as an important one—and I hope it will prove to be a step that creates value for society while advancing your own career and aspirations.

For twenty-six years, I have watched this industry change from the extraction floor. My own career began there, at a time when plant extraction was largely a matter of craft—experience, intuition, and patience. Today, it is a discipline of specifications, traceability, and regulatory precision. GreenFood was born from that transition, and our identity is still shaped by it.

The direction of the market is clear. As China’s economy continues to develop, public awareness of health and clean-label products has grown steadily stronger, and this has created a favorable outlook for the natural food additives industry to which we belong. According to industry association statistics, natural colorants have grown at an annual rate of more than 20% over the past three to five years, and total usage of natural food additives is expected to roughly triple within the next five years. Competition in this field is real, but it is not the brutal, winner-take-all competition seen in some other sectors. More than one hundred manufacturers operate in this space, and because most specialize in different product ranges, direct comparability is limited. On the measures that matter—technical capability, product breadth, quality systems, and export readiness—GreenFood has established itself in the industry’s leading tier. We are confident that GreenFood is a company with a future and a company that can compete.

The global food industry is also asking a question that would have seemed marginal three decades ago: can a color be both natural and dependable? Clean-label reformulation and regulatory pressure on synthetic dyes are driving adoption across beverages, bakery, and confectionery. Retailers have accelerated this shift by removing artificial colors from private-label lines and rewarding products that carry recognizable ingredients. But substitution is rarely one-to-one. A natural pigment that performs well in an acidic beverage may fail in a baked system; a shade that holds under light may shift under heat. Stability, not sourcing alone, has become the real test.

This is where GreenFood’s twenty-six years of focus matter. We did not diversify away from plant extraction when it was difficult. We stayed, and we built the capabilities that make natural colors usable rather than merely available. Our “deodorized radish red” addresses a long-standing barrier to application—the off-note that kept a stable anthocyanin out of mainstream bakery and noodle systems. Our U.S.-standard gardenia blue, built on patented processing and aligned with FDA specifications, gives formulators a natural blue that can hold its own in export markets. These are not marketing stories. They are answers to specific technical problems that our customers bring to us.

In a market economy, opportunity and challenge always coexist. Only companies that are not deterred by challenges and that know how to seize opportunities can avoid being left behind—and can aspire to become an industry flagship. GreenFood will continue to take hold of opportunities, invest in innovation, strengthen its core competitiveness, and pursue steady, stable, large-scale and healthy growth.

We come from all corners of the country, but we share a clear goal and a demanding mission. History has given us a rare cause and a rare opportunity; that is what has brought us together. I welcome you to this team. Let us work side by side to build this company into an outstanding large-scale enterprise—and to keep earning the right to be the partner our customers call when a natural color has to work, not just appear on a label.
